Canning

last week I thought I did well by finishing the orange marmalade that Stan started. Came up with about 9 1/2 pints of jam.

At farmers market this week, there was so much leftover.  I brought home 2 gray bins that were half full of cherries, 3 bags of strawberries, 1 full of peaches and some other odds and ends like a handfull of apricots, nectarines, yellow cherries, plums and such.  I think my eyes were bigger than my head...

so i planned when i got home yesterday...reading recipies and such - put them in one note and got started cleaning fruit when stan got home.

Cleaned strawberries and 1/2 of the cherries last night the rest today...zbout 1/2 of the white peaches went to compost..to soft and tasteless

made...
1 batch strawberry jam with low sugar pectin - 8 - 1/2 pints
1 batch strawberry jam with cherries - needed to add pectin - 7 - 1/2 pints, 1pint
1 batch strawberry jam with cherries and balsamic - kind of loose - canned this morning - 3 pints and a 1/2 pint

today...
1 batch cherry amaretto jam - 8 - 1/2 pints
1 batch peach orange marmalade - 7 - 1/2 pints
4 pints peach salsa
1 batch cherry jam with low sugar pectin - 8 - 1/2 pints
1 large batch cherry pie filling - 5 quarts, 5 pints

still have some peaches that aare underripe, plums and assorted other ruit and 1 baatch strawberry and sugar

I cant believe I did it all!!
